SCP-9998

Item #: SCP-9998

Object Class: Neutralised

Laconic Containment Procedures: All effects from SCP-9998 have been covered up, all footage and documentation of SCP-9998 is archived, and a show of the same name has been made to minimise risk of MANDELA-class amnestic failures. Watching seasons 1 through 4 is allowed for researchers assigned to relevant anomalies but season 5 is only to be viewed with written consent from SCP-9998's Head Researcher.

Laconic Description: SCP-9998 is an NBC sitcom series named A Prince Among Men, the premise of which being a teenager from an upper-class family being forced to live with working-class relatives in New York.

Among other anomalies occurring throughout the production of season 5, the highly anticipated live broadcast series finale of SCP-9998 was an SCP-701 event causing worldwide violence and requiring the orbital obliteration of the set to interrupt a ritual being performed by the cast. As the strike happened just as the ritual had finished, unspecified changes to baseline reality had taken place.

Additional Context: The article intentionally misleads the reader into thinking it to be a Fifthism article prior to SCP-701-B's appearance. It was also an entry in the SCP-9000 contest, in which it won 4th place.
