Item #: SCP-799
Object Class: Euclid
Laconic Containment Procedures: Keep each instance of SCP-799 in a separate containment cell. Feed them dust from the D-class dorms. If they reproduce, put the babies in separate cells and tell the head researcher.
Laconic Description: SCP-799 is a species of animal or fungus — it's hard to tell — that usually looks exactly like a blanket. Most of the time they live off house dust and are really hard to tell apart from regular blankets. If that isn't available, they'll grow a huge toothy mouth, wait for a warm-blooded animal to wrap up in them and fall asleep, and then bite off a chunk of it. If the animal is small enough, they'll swallow it whole.
They reproduce by budding off little blankets from their edges. They can change shape and color, but they prefer to look like baby blankets, especially when they're small and hungry.
