Item #: SCP-793

Object Class: Euclid

Laconic Containment Procedures: Stakes put in the ground 13.4 meters from the hospital walls marks the effected area, the "Zone of Denial", with another boundary set 50 meters away. Signs are put up, saying "No Unauthorized Entrance" in the European and African languages used in the area.

Laconic Description: SCP-793 occurs in an abandoned hospital established somewhere in Africa back in the 1800s, its strange happenings arising sometime in the 1900s. SCP-793 itself is a version of the African Sleeping Sickness, one that anyone in the Zone of Denial is automatically infected with.

The further into the ZoD, the more the parasites reproduce, up to four times as much as normal. Upon leaving the ZoD, SCP-793 vanishes without a trace. If someone dies of SCP-793 and the body is taken outside of the Zone, the person comes back to life with no memory of their death but a strong pain from their dead cells rapidly un-dying.
