Laconic Description: SCP-685 is a hole in a remote mountain area. Once every few hours, objects rise out of the pit, then fall back down, and repeat until the object is seen travelling at high velocity, making exploration dangerous.

The area around SCP-685 is non-anomalous, so where the other side of the hole should be there is nothing of importance. Sometimes objects (like rock debrie) that emerges has traces of amino acids in the them.
