Laconic Description: SCP-5845 is a facility within Mercury accessed by travelling with a heads-on trajectory towards the planet at a speed between 17 and 23 percent the speed of light. It was built by the Department of Abnormalities and the "Supreme Sacred Congregation of the Roman and Universal Inquisition".
When you travel to it, you’re suddenly teleported into an airlock, and you return to where you were by exiting the airlock. After the airlock, the facility is just a massive acrylic tube through empty space eventually leading to a 1km wide sphere made of an unknown metal. While inside SCP-5845 you hallucinate sounds that go away if you touch the sphere.
On the walls of SCP-5845 are eight carved murals depicting odd religious-seeming scenes with phallic imagery.
