SCP-5100

Item #: SCP-5100

Object Class: Keter

Laconic Containment Procedures: Keep knowledge of it on a need-to-know basis and recontain everything that got out while it was happening. Tell the Chinese government not to interfere either.

Laconic Description: SCP-5100 was an event on February 12th, 2019 during which all Foundation activity within the borders of China completely ceased. All personnel failed to communicate or disappeared, all Sites lost power, and lots of SCPs escaped.

As implied from a series of recently-written messages discovered at a Chinese Site managing an archeological dig, the entire situation was the result of an unidentified Chinese emperor awakening and triggering a variety of magical effects he set to take effect when he awoke. These effects assumedly included his own resurrection, reacquisition of China (hence the Foundation losing control of their Chinese Sites).

Upon seeing the modern world and scope of new technologies, he decides that he will wander the world and observe it, and leaves the Site to do so, leaving the scrolls to be found later.

Additional Context: SCP-5100 was an entry in the SCP-5000 Contest, where it won 14th place.
