SCP-4998

Item #: SCP-4998

Object Class: Keter

Laconic Containment Procedures: Try to sway public feelings on architecture so there's less open spaces on buildings. If a gathering is to be had somewhere with people wearing similarly-colored, generally blank clothes, it is to be broken up. If any SCP-4998 instances are found, try to hide or remove them if possible.

Laconic Description: SCP-4998 is a phenomenon by which advertisements will randomly appear in blank spaces on buildings, digital negative space, blank clothing, and even human skin and organs. Some instances can have memetic agents or cognitohazards that make the viewer want to buy the advertised product or service. Advertisements can be for everything from Wal-Mart and Nissan, to Foundation management positions.

Additional Context: Several empty spaces in the article itself contain various brand logos, such as Target or Ford. SCP-4998 was an entry in the SCP-4000 Contest, where it won 33rd place.
