Laconic Containment Procedures: SCP-498 is kept in a sound-proof bunker. Personnel assigned are to wear handphones. An automated robotic arm is to used to reset SCP-498. Should the arm break down, a security officier is to manually reset SCP-498.

Laconic Description: SCP-498 is an alarm clock that goes off every 11 minutes. If not reset, its volume will increase by 4 Decibels (dB) every 10 seconds. If SCP-498 were to continue beeping indefinitely, it could destroy the planet by the sheer intensity of the sound.

Additional Context: A Decibel (dB) is a unit use to measure the intensity of a sound. A sound of 200 dB can kill a human.
