Item #: SCP-4040
Object Class: Keter
Laconic Containment Procedures: Leave it alone and don't talk or think about what it can do unless ordered to. Teams of no less than 4 may do testing with it.
Laconic Description: SCP-4040 is a huge, allegedly "bottomless" sinkhole 100 meters across located somewhere within Sloth's Forest, located near Sloth's Pit, Wisconsin. Anything said about it has the potential to become true, meaning the local legends and myths about it are almost all true. Agents go to investigate it and accidentally think about a monster that pulls them in, and they get pulled in.
At the bottom is Jackson Sloth, SCP-4040's creator, who accidentally created a singularity of pure creativity that consumed his mansion and created the sinkhole. He argues that human imagination and creativity is so powerful it can manipulate reality if focused enough.
Additional Context: SCP-4040 was an entry in the SCP-4000 Contest, where it won 15th place. SCP-4040 is also tied to the S & C Plastics canon by several tales linked throughout the article.
