Item #: SCP-4022

Object Class: Euclid

Laconic Containment Procedures: Keep him in a box. Don’t let anyone talk to him, especially not therapists. Don’t let anyone talk about him or his mental state.

Laconic Description: SCP-4022 is a former mathematician suffering from dementia that has a great big nothing in the middle of his head (which must be referred to as such. People who read descriptions of the great big nothing in the middle of his head get a great big nothing in the middle of their head. This great big nothing in the middle of their head also comes with several nasty stages of disease.

  • Stage 1: You get worse at recognizing patterns.
  • Stage 2: You get worse at perceiving any kind of pattern.
  • Stage 3: You can no longer make or recognize patterns, and lose the ability to read, write, and speak.
  • Stage 4: You faint and die

We also learn that the man can “contain” his great big nothing in the middle of his head due to his dementia. He also refuses psychiatric help, voluntarily speaking in word salad and having to think in disorderly strings, effectively removing patterns from his behavior, in order to not succumb to the great big nothing in the middle of his head. This makes it hard for him to do anything, like speak or think.

The great big nothing in the middle of his head, additionally, may be an antimemetic entity, feeding off of consciousness, meaning referring to it as a great big nothing in the middle of his head will further mitigate the effects of the great big nothing in the middle of his head, and not an extant entity.
