Item #: SCP-378
Object Class: Thaumiel
Laconic Containment Procedures: SCP-378 is to be stored in a standard terrarium. Nobody should come into contact with it. SCP-378-1 must be able to talk and transfer to another person when the host dies. SCP-378-2 is to be kept employed in the American Supernatural Containment Initiative (ASCI) to sabotage it for the Foundation's purpose. SCP-378-3 should be replaced with another person when the original host dies.
Laconic Description: SCP-378 is an animal that looks like a giant centipede that produces parasites that it can control and infect humans and other advanced primates, which the parasites control. Infected humans die but are controlled by parasites who pretend to be the previous human.
It is particularly attracted to keeping SCP-378-3 under its control and continuing her routine.
Additional Context: The Foundation uses SCP-378 to its advantage with the Kraken Proposal, threatening SCP-378-3 to get SCP-378-2 into the ASCI. It is revealed that when the Foundation tried to control Rupert Tremont from the UIU, their usual technique doesn't work and they discover a different centipede in what appeared to be an alive person.
