SCP-339

Item #: SCP-339

Object Class: Keter

Laconic Containment Procedures: SCP-339 is kept on a pedestal in the center of a 25 m3 soundproof room. The walls of the room must be checked for replacement on the 15th day of each month. Anyone entering through the airlock must wear foam-lined boots and stay as quiet as they can.

Laconic Description: SCP-339 is a rusty ball of metal with thin, wire-like tentacles around 50cm long. It appears to be made of rusted copper, but is stronger and more flexible; when not doing anything, the wires move like seaweed underwater and are known to claw at the walls quite frequently; over-all looks like a spore of mold.

If it hears anything above a whisper, its tendrils will dart out to strangle whatever made the noise. Anything living is violently shaken in tiny, rapid circles until the bones and muscles are ground up from the inside from the thrashing.
