Laconic Containment Procedures: Don't explore it. Send a bunch of symbolically satanic items through it once a month for ten years. We used to use the energy that it made, but that's not allowed anymore.
Laconic Description: SCP-3304 is an interdimensional portal in West Virginia that leads to a wall of extremely hot flame, which turns out to be literally the entrance to Hell. An exiled demon started an energy company, which harnessed the portal's flames to generate geothermal power.
This ended up annoying the rest of the demons: it turns out that Hellfire isn't infinite, and the energy company was pulling so much heat out of Hell that the place had started to freeze. The Foundation now has to send virgin's blood, sinners, and devil's-number quantities of fuel to Hell on a regular basis to help re-light its fires.
