Laconic Description: SCP-3020 is a highly contagious, incurable disease that causes depression-like symptoms in those infected by messing with their brain chemistry. Symptoms manifest in five six stages of worsening severity.
The article goes through several iterations as the infected Dr. Packard details his experience with the disease. After a long time of going through the symptoms and wanting to die, he (and his wife) reach the secret sixth stage of the disease in which they learn to live with the numbness. They're still sad, but note that "everything's going to be fine."
