SCP-243

Item #: SCP-243

Object Class: Safe

Laconic Containment Procedures: Put it in the very middle of a really big room. Don't let anyone bring groups of 4 or more identical objects near it, even if they're different colors. It's OK to do that if you have permission for testing, though.

If it affects a group of valuable things, put them in separate cells and wait for the effects to wear off.

Never, ever bring groups of weapons, things that make good weapons, or ordinary batteries near it.

Laconic Description: It's a ball of household batteries. When enough identical objects come near it, they all start moving and hovering, and act like a flock of birds. Some of the flocks also do things that the objects in them would normally be used to do (for example, a flock of knives would try to cut things).

If you split up a flock, the separate objects stop being anomalous after a few hours. Even if you don't, flocks stop being anomalous after a day or so.

In the SCP-verse, someone put SCP-243 in the middle of the Pixar building, which made all their desk lamps get up and hop around. Pixar then used SCP-243 to develop their animation style. That's how the Foundation found it.

SCP-243 might have somehow made SCP-1507.
