Special Containment Procedures: One Foundation agent is to monitor any activity involving SCP-144. The monks residing at the temple where SCP-144 starts aren't to be disturbed. The Chinese government has established a no-fly zone in the area surrounding SCP-144 in cooperation with the Foundation.

Description: SCP-144 is a rope that extends upward from a Buddhist temple to a small asteroid-like satellite in orbit. The monks at the temple perform an annual ritual in which they climb the rope to the summit; almost everyone who has climbed it never returned. The cord slowly rises upwards due to gravity, and the end will likely leave the base soon.
