Item #: SCP-140

Object Class: Keter

Laconic Containment Procedures: Don't bring any writing fluids near it. Keep it in a guarded desk and destroy any reproductions. If someone becomes weirdly obsessed with it, wipe their memory and send them elsewhere.

Laconic Description: It's a black book titled “A Chronicle of the Daevas” with way more pages than it could hold for its size. It details an ancient cannibalistic civilization of a very human-like species in what is now Siberia called the Daevites, which were a gruesome militaristic culture producing relics that would be qualified as their own SCP's. If the book comes in contact with any writing fluid, especially blood, more information appears typically continuing the story of the Daevites. The Daevites had substantially longer lives than humans, and likely actually existed. SCP-140-A is the author and likely a Daevite.
