Item #: SCP-1048

Object Class: Keter

Laconic Containment Procedures: SCP-1048 is uncontained, but previously they didn't even try to contain it. In order to prevent confusion, no teddy bears are allowed at Site 24.

Laconic Description: SCP-1048 is a stuffed bear that can move on its own. It was initially friendly and loving, but after initial containment it started making copies of itself out of whatever stuff it happened to find. These copies have all had some sort of devastating anomalous effect that ends up grievously injuring or killing members of staff. SCP-1048 also maliciously removed body parts and near-term fetuses from staff members and used them as raw materials.

Additional Context: SCP-1048 is meant to illustrate that, no matter how harmless something seems, it must be properly contained. SCP-1048 was allowed to roam the halls freely, and it used this freedom to wreak absolute havoc.
