Laconic Description: SCP-1000 is a nocturnal, omnivorous ape. Its species can have grey, brown, black, red, and white fur. It's colloquially described as 'Bigfoot,' as the title suggests.
The article initially claims that SCP-1000 carries a genetic memetic agent that causes anyone observing it to instantly die 2% of the time, with that chance increasing the longer SCP-1000 is viewed. This meme also affects other SCP-1000 instances, which consequently killed almost all of their population, with only a small percentage that were born immune to the meme surviving, though they still carry the gene.
A Level 3 Secure document is available further down that states the memetic kill agent gene possessed by SCP-1000 instances is a hoax, and that they are just like humans, except hairier, larger, and just as intelligent. It goes on to say that SCP-1000 used to be the dominant lifeform on Earth until humanity turned SCP-1000's weapons on their own creators, then wiped humanity's memory of the events and proceeded to dominate the Earth. SCP-1000 has since been forced into hiding in the wilderness.
SCP-1000 instances recently tried contacting Foundation personnel and sent a message saying they forgive humanity but want to come out of hiding.
