Laconic Containment Procedures: SCP-039 must be observed carefully due to a propensity for escape attempts. Staff are rotated frequently to ensure this. One of them is pregnant and needs specialized care.

Laconic Description: SCP-039 are faceless proboscis monkeys with engineering skills and altered anatomy. They don't need to eat, for example, and have no mouths or eyes. Frequently, they try to escape using their engineering knowledge. This is not an inherited trait, although the capacity for advanced intelligence is.

They were made to produce mechanical items in a factory without needing to be fed or rest. This was either unsuccessful or didn't last forever.
