SCP-031

Item #: SCP-031

Object Class: Euclid

Laconic Containment Procedures: SCP-031 is contained in Ryugyong Hotel, Pyongyang, and is unable to be seen by the public due to media restrictions by the North Korean regime. Both the Foundation and the North Korean government agree to not violate each other's commandments.

Laconic Description: SCP-031 is a living blob-shaped parasite with multiple appendages and multiple branches.

If you're in the vicinity of its limbs, you'll see the limb as a former acquaintance or lover and convince you to return with them. It then brings you to the main body of SCP-031 to eat you and preserve your brain.

Additional Context: It was found in a Korean city where citizens were confessing their love to a leader alike a cult they called "The Beloved." A Mobile Task Force moved it into its current containment as of now.

SCP-031 was originally a blob of a slightly humanoid shape, with no abilities it had now. It was contained and classified as a Safe Class SCP at an unknown Site, but the division of Korea caused the site to lose all SCPs, which were recovered except for SCP-031.

It was found again in the still unfinished Ryugyong Hotel because of the construction workers reporting about their colleagues' anomalous1 disappearances.

The only construction done was on the secondary spires except for windows ordered by the local regime to hide up SCP-031 which went consequently for them.

Additional Context: In early April of 2021, Dr. Clef rewrote the SCP-031 article, while still keeping the original idea. The original article's whereabouts are only known in online videos, screenshots, or the Wayback Machine.
